tom hodge’s collaborative relationship with czech producer tomas dvorak, a.k.a floex began with a chance meeting in berlin. after a series of initial experiments in making music together, in 2016 tom completed a remix for floex’s “samorost 3” pre-remixes ep.
over the last three years, tom and floex have been working on “a portrait of john doe”, an album collaboration created with the prague radio symphony orchestra.

doe dee is a new label curated by stalwart sydney dj / fbi radio presenter kato releasing forward thinking club music from australia to the world. the first release sees the two personalities of melbourne producer fergus sweetland splitting 2 sides of a liquorice pizza. on the a side sweetland shines with unique energetic yet emotional deepish house workout with a beautiful deep dubby re-rub from sydney’s own hubert clarke jr 100% silk / wolf music / otis while on the b side sugref takes things considerably darker with a brooding electro influenced acid trip alongside a chunky uptempo dub house workout from sydney duo alba aka cop envy and sam weston

the first record in the “nbn” series comes from fitz ambro$e – a tokyo based producer originally from cape breton island in remote eastern canada. with a slew of self-released cult classic albums and mix cds he steps up to make his vinyl debut with doe quarterz, a 14 track mini lp rooted in fitz’s love of 80’s soul and funk mixed with 90’s hip hop and r&b. stripped down intricate hip hop beats heavily layered with vocals, obscure samples and unpredictable drum progressions, doe quarterz sees fitz come with a uniquely modern sound respectful to its roots – melodic head nodding grooves busting with his original flavor.

das 2017er album der progressive-formation way out west, bestehend aus top-dj nick warren und dessen partner jody wisternoff erscheint nun als 3lp. die pioniere gehören zu den einflussreichsten elektronischen acts der letzten 25 jahre und haben dort diverse charterfolge zu verzeichnen. sie touren nachwievor global und sind als remixer für gleichgesinnte wie orbital, unkle, james holden, st.etienne und viele mehr bekannt. neben ihrem beeindruckenden katalog also duo sind sie beide als djs weltweit unterwegs. nick warren enthält zudem sein soundgarden label und präsentierte bereits acht ausgaben der ikonischen global underground compilationserie. jody wisternoff hat bereits ein soloalbum bei anjunadeep veröffentlicht und die letzten vier ausgaben der gefeierten labelcompilation gemixt. ihr fünftes album als way out west, tuesday maybe, ist das erste in acht jahren und wird bereits von den fans heiß ersehnt.
